This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For privacy queries contact: privacy@carrgo.uk

1. What information we collect

When you register and use Carrgo we collect:

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate the Carrgo platform, match shippers with transporters, send notifications about jobs and status updates, process subscription payments via Stripe, generate invoices for completed jobs, improve the platform, and comply with legal obligations. Our legal basis is contract performance, legitimate interests, and where required, your consent.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Location data

Location sharing is always opt-in per job. Transporter location is shared only with the shipper on that specific confirmed job and is not retained after delivery is confirmed. We do not track location outside active jobs.

5. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Job records, messages and invoices are retained for 7 years. On account deletion, personal profile data is removed.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact privacy@carrgo.uk. You may also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, secure database storage via Supabase, and access controls.

8. Changes

We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
